Almond Butter Crispy Treats with Sweet Cloud Organic Brown Rice Syrup

This easy-to-make dessert has a satisfying crunch, and makes a perfect lunchbox treat.


• 1/2 cup unsalted almond butter
• 1/2 cup Sweet Cloud Organic Brown Rice Syrup (scant)
• 2 tsp Miso Master Organic Sweet White Miso
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/8 tsp almond extract
• 21/2 cups crispy brown rice cereal*


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine the almond butter, rice syrup, miso, vanilla and almond extract in a medium-sized bowl add mix well.
  3. Add the cereal and gently toss until evenly coated.
  4. Press the mixture into an unoiled 8-inch-square baking pan. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. All to cool on a wire rack.
  5. Cut into 2-inch squares and serve.


*Erewhon brand “Rice Twice Crisped Rice Cereal is recommended.

VARIATION: Add chocolate chips for a chocolate crispy treat.
