Stuffed Italian Shells with Miso Master Mellow White Miso

Stuffed Italian Shells

Description

This vegan version of Stuffed Italian Shells uses tofu with our Miso Master Organic Mellow White Miso and seasonings for the “Ricotta” cheese.


Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cook shells in boiling water until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. To prepare Ricotta, press tofu with a weight for ½ hr. to drain. Crumble tofu with hands and add remaining “ricotta” ingredients. Mix garlic, herbs, tahini, salt & pepper with chopped spinach and fill shells with mixture.
  3. Spoon layer of pasta sauce into bottom of roasting pan, arrange shells, and top with remaining pasta sauce.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees, covered for 25 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley.

  1. Whisk together all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Gently warm over low heat for pancakes or waffles.
  3. Add to plain yogurt for a bit of flair, or drizzle over goat cheese in place of honey for a flavor treat!

Description

This delicious Green Beans in Sesame Miso recipe is a new twist on an old favorite seasoned with our Miso Master Organic Traditional Red Miso. YUM!

Instructions

  1. Add green beans and salt to boiling water and cook, uncovered, until just tender. Drain and cool.
  2. Toast sesame seeds in dry skillet, stirring constantly over medium heat about 2 minutes (if over-cooked they become bitter.) Grind seeds in a suribachi or with a mortar and pestle, add oil and mix, and then add miso.
  3. Blend in mirin, lemon juice, and sweetener. Mixture will be thick and somewhat coarse and dry.
  4. Add green beans and toss gently in dressing until evenly coated. Attractively arrange a small portion in individual serving bowls.
  5. Enjoy and share with family and friends!

  1. In a medium sized bowl. mix the butter with the miso until smooth, using a handheld electric mixer at medium speed.
  2. Beat in the confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract. Finally, stir in the lemon verbena.
  3. This delicious concoction can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.
  4. Allow to soften at room temperature before serving.
