Vegan Cheesy Spread
Vegan home chef, Justin Weber is the popular creator of Crow Moon Kitchen. Justin created this tasty Vegan Cheesy Spread using our soy-free Miso Master Organic Chickpea Miso. Enjoy with your favorite crackers, bread, rice cakes or pretzels. YUM!
15 ounces chickpeas, peeled
1/4 cup Miso Master Organic Chickpea Miso
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp vegan Worcestershire
1/2 cup chopped carrot, boiled
1 Tbl avocado oil
1 Tbl nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp kosher salt
- Peel the chickpeas to ensure a more smooth texture.
- Boil the chopped carrot until soft. Drain, rinse to cool, and process with all of the ingredients until smooth using a high speed blender or food processor. Avoid adding water because you want this to be thick.
- Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for even better flavor!
HOW TO PEEL CHICKPEAS
When we first read Justin’s instructions to “Peel the chickpeas…”, we imagined pulling skins off of each chickpea by hand. Thankfully, he created this handy little tutorial video on how to peel the outer skin off of chickpeas by shaking them in a mason jar with some water!
Justin recently came out with his first WFPB Cookbook with 100 delicious, creative, comforting whole food, plant-based (WFPB) recipes. Justin’s recipes and cooking tips will totally convince anyone that “you don’t need a ton of salt, oil, and sugar to enjoy food.” We love his cookbook and you will, too! BUY from Amazon >

Justin Weber – Crow Moon Kitchen
The Crow Moon is the last full moon of winter and is a symbol of rebirth, growth, and beginnings. My goal is to provide a creative and holistic approach to cooking that empowers people to establish for themselves a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Justin Weber
Justin was nearly 400 pounds when his son and first child was born. As he held his newborn in his arms, Justin was inspired to change his life to be a better “role model” that would live to watch him grow. Beginning with food, Justin changed his entire mindset and relationship with what he chose to eat. He began to “purposely” plate and photograph the plant-based, health conscious meals he prepared for his successful journey to a “healthy relationship with eating.” Justin’s journey to good health is a must read.
Today, Justin is healthy and fit and shares his passion for good health as a plant-based home chef on his website and social media. We highly recommend that you connect with Justin, share his story and work. We know you’ll be totally inspired!
