Instructions

  1. Cut watermelon into small chunks, removing the rind and adding to a blender. Blend until smooth and then strain into a pitcher using a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp. Sample juice and continue blending until you have approximately 3 cups of watermelon juice in your pitcher.
  2. Wash and cut the strawberries in half, removing the green tops and any white parts. Follow the same process as you did for the watermelon; reserving some strawberries (about half) to garnish your fruit punch. Strain the strawberry juice into the same pitcher with the watermelon juice and set aside.
  3. Prepare tea using one tea bag per 8 ounces of boiling water; steep for 3 to 5 minutes. While tea is steeping add lime juice, pureed ginger, sugar and miso paste to your blender. When your tea has finished steeping, but is still hot add the tea to the blender and blend on high to dissolve the sugar and miso paste, making sure they are well blended with no solids. Continue blending, if needed, until all solids are dissolved.
  4. Add the watermelon, strawberry juice to the limeade mixture in your blender and blend on high until well blended. Pour into pitcher and refrigerate to chill.

Notes

Pro Tip: Don't water down your fruit punch when serving! Make extra punch and freeze it into ice cube trays to use instead of plain ice.
