Our traditional hummus is made with the transformative power of miso paste. Creamy, satisfying and so easy to make - hummus is the answer to many food questions. What can I dip this in? Hummus. Can I put something else on my sandwich? Hummus. I need a quick salad dressing. How about using some....hummus!
Originating in the middle east, hummus is made with chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and spices. We added one special touch with the addition of our authentic, naturally fermented miso paste. This recipe works best with either chickpea miso (soy free) or mellow white miso paste.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Cooked Chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons Chickpea Miso paste or Mellow White Miso
- 2 tablespoons Tahini
- 2 cloves Garlic (pureed or chopped)
- 1 ½ tablespoons Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve with veggies, pretzels, chips or crackers. Hummus is also a great salad dressing or sandwich spread.

* For soy-free hummus use chickpea miso paste
