Shipping policy

Destinations

We offer shipping on all orders to the contiguous USA (all states excluding Alaska and Hawaii).

Carriers

All orders ship from our headquarters in Asheville, North Carolina via USPS or UPS (options are transit time dependent) at your discretion. The carrier can be selected at checkout.

Rates

All orders ship from our headquarters in Asheville, North Carolina via USPS or UPS. When possible, the customer has the option to select a carrier at checkout.  Orders that qualify for promotional shipping offers are shipped using a carrier chosen by Great Eastern Sun. 

Processing

All orders ship Monday through Friday; we do not process orders over the weekend. Please allow 1-2 business days to process your order. Please note that all orders received after 10am will be processed on the following business day. However, if your order is received after 10am on Friday, your order will ship the following Monday.  All orders that include miso ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only with a 10am cutoff time on Tuesdays.

Tracking

All orders are tracked from the time of shipment. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking information.

Backorders

Occasionally, we may run out of stock of an item on your order. When this occurs, you will be notified by email. Out-of-stock items cannot be placed on backorder. Your remaining order will be shipped, and you will only be charged for the items shipped.

A Note about Miso

Miso Master organic miso paste is an unpasteurized product and must be handled properly to ensure quality. It has a long refrigerated shelf life, so we encourage all customers to “stock up” on miso during cooler months, to reduce the need to ship during warmer months. All miso orders under 200 pounds ship unrefrigerated; and therefore, must go out on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid extended storage periods over the weekend. Orders over 200 pounds will ship refrigerated.
