Arame (Eisenia bicyclis) is a member of the kelp family of sea vegetables; like wakame and kombu. Emerald Cove Arame is a mild- semi-sweet dark brown sea kelp, that can easily be incorporated into any dish for added flavor and nutrition. Similar in size to hijiki in color and size, arame imparts a much milder flavor and is an excellent substitute for hijiki.
